Rochefort 6° started has a beer designed only for medical purposes. The beer is the oldest member of Rochefort. It was introduced to the market in 1953. It contains about 7.5% alcohol. It is brewed with local spring water, Munich malt, Pale malt, unmalted wheat, Hallertau hops, Styrian Golding hops, Yeast, Candy Sugar, and Granulated Sugar. Rochefort 6° has a dry finish. It’s a high formation beer which re-ferments in the container. Rochefort 6° is the lightest among its family. The beer is hard to find in the supermarket, and retailers limit the quantity sold to a particular customer.
