Peeterman is the historic beer of the people of Leuven, the Pietermen. The unfiltered beer with an alcohol percentage of 6% distinguishes itself by its freshness and slightly sour character. This is obtained, among other things, through the use of wheat, which was traditionally widely used in the breweries of Leuven and the surrounding area. The unique hopping gives the beer a fruity aroma of ripe apricots and fresh citrus fruit with a pleasant cheesy undertone. The use of a typical Belgian yeast strain also determines the taste and aroma. The fruity flavours of bananas as well as clove and vanilla are clearly recognisable. Peeterman' has a considerable bitterness but ends in a fresh acidity, which makes you quickly feel like more.
